Hexham Abbey has a vision of world in which God's love is enjoyed, celebrated and shared. This is rooted in worship, encountering Jesus Christ, his way of life, and his life-giving message in word and sacrament. A warm welcome awaits you if you'd like to join one of our services.

Parish Eucharist

A service with a sermon and music. During this time, only the choir will be allowed to sing.


Zoom Worship

An online service with prayers, readings, sermon and music.


Evensong (1st, 3rd and 5th Sunday of the month)

Choral in school term-time; Said Evensong with hymns outside term-time

Revive (2nd Sunday of the month)

A celtic style service in beautiful candlelight with prayers for justice, peace and healing.

Refresh (4th Sunday of the month)

A time of music, readings, reflections, prayers and silence in the beautiful candlelit atmosphere of the Abbey.

* Tots' Praise is a service full of songs, stories and fun for babies, toddlers and pre-school children and their carers. This currently does not take place outside term time.

**These services are choral during term-time; they are replaced by Evening Prayer at 5.00pm outside term-time.

If you are unable to join us for services in the Abbey, our Clergy and Lay Eucharistic Ministers may be able to bring Communion to you at home once a month. Please contact the Parish Office on (01434) 602031 if this would be helpful to you.
