New Tuesday Evening Zoom Service
The midweek Zoom service was stopped in the summer when it seemed Covid restrictions were increasingly easing. However, sadly so much has now tightened up again. We are still holding and developing our services in the Abbey but realise that for some, online worship is vital and so a new midweek service will begin on Tuesday 20th October at 6pm (and every Tuesday at 6pm for the foreseeable future). This will be very much like the former Wednesday evening service but without music and will last for about half an hour. The Zoom link, and an order of service, will be sent out to everyone who has requested it. If you have not requested a link and would like one please email Lucy at admin@hexhamabbey.org.uk and she will ensure you are added to the list of recipients.
Zoom Coffee Lounge
As winter approaches and rules tighten, opportunities to meet have become fewer so we are offering an online venue where we can get together without the constraints of social disntacing and 'tiered' rules of not mixing households (as well as avoid the good old British weather!).
The 'Zoom Coffee Lounge' will be a 'drop in' cafe with a difference. Bring your own coffee and snacks, choose your comfiest spot, join when you want, stay as long as you want and leave when you're ready.
If you're interested, please come along to on Wednesday mornings between 10.30am and 12pm.
For more information and for login details, please contact Lucy via the Parish office (01434 611900).
Our Zoom services have now been set to 'recurring meetings'. This means the link you receive from now on will remain the same every time; the Meeting ID and Password will not change. The link will not be sent every week moving forward and so it is a good idea to bookmark the page when you do receive the link so you have it to hand.
This applies to the Zoom Coffee Lounge as well as the Worship services.
