E6: St Andrew Preaching

In the centre panel is St Andrew preaching (“The Word of God”). St Andrew is depicted as having landed in the course of his missionary wanderings upon one of the islands of the Greek Archipelago. He has gathered round him upon the beach, all sorts and conditions of men, to whom he is expounding the Message of his Master.
Inscription across the foot: “IN THE NAME OF CHRIST”.
There is the figure of an angel at the head of the central light with the scroll: “Go ye [out] into all the world and preach the Gospel[Mark 16:15].

Unveiled by Mrs McComb in memory of William and Jane Ellis; erected by their son Thomas and his sisters Emma and Mrs Ann McComb.

In the bottom right corner is “H.T.BOSDET 1905.”.
