Single lancet in wooden frame. Three roundels or medallions and above them, in a panel, a dove bearing an olive branch in its beak, which symbolizes peace and reconciliation. Bottom: Two ships, on the left in a storm; on the right safe in harbour. Inscription, [from Ps. 107:23–30]: ✠ HE MAKETH THE STORM TO CEASE HE BRINGETH THEM VNTO THE HAVEN WHERE THEY WOVLD BE ✠ Centre: Sowing corn and reaping the harvest. WADDILOVE, M.A. | OF BEACON GRANGE, | Who died October 28th, 1859, | Aged 74 Years. | ALSO OF ELIZABETH ANNE, HIS WIFE | WHO ENTERED INTO REST March 7th, 1874, | AGED 86 YEARS.” 1996: Protected with 6 mm polycarbonate by B & R Glazing Co Ltd in June 1996 [Faculty reg. no.4, Faculty no.4762, granted 26 Jan. 1996] 2011/2012: All the polycarbonate protection was removed and wire guards fitted by H&R Developments, Caulkerbush, Dumfries in Oct–Nov 2011 and Jan 2012.
