The Early Music in Hexham Concert Series presents:

Music from the early Italian baroque and its links with that of Henry Purcell

Hugo Hymas - tenor

Sergio Bucheli - lute and theorbo

Jacob Garside - viola da gamba

John Green - harpsichord

Comprising vocal and instrumental works by Monteverdi, Caccini, Purcell, Blow, Simpson and others, the concert will include Purcell’s magnificent and rarely heard lament upon the death of Queen Mary, ‘The Queen’s Epicedium.’
