On 14th September 2024 at 6:00 pm, Northumbrian Winds will perform an exciting programme of music from Dukas to Zimmer via Saint-Saëns and The Beatles.

Under the musical directorship of Andrew Taylor and drawing upon over 50 musicians from the Northumbria region, Northumbrian Winds was initially created as a representative, regional concert band for a short tour of North-West Germany in September 2023.

Northumbrian Winds first performed a joint concert with The Bindweider Bergkappelle in the marketplace of Hachenburg on the evening of 7th September, to an audience of more than 1500. Northumbrian Winds subsequently joined with German Winds and a Swiss Band, Musikgesellschaft Niederhasli to perform 2 more concerts, one in Cologne Cathedral and another in Kulteurwerk Wissen
